He was sitting on the shore. It was already after sunset and the only light was that of a shimmering lamp somewhere around. The sound of the waves dying against the rock filled everything, creating an isolating and relaxing atmosphere. That led him, although I am not going to say that it was inevitably, to consider whether she was also looking at the same sea at that particular moment, it was as if "he could feel it". Following that, the sea opened in two, allowing a stage to emerge and on that stage was Tim Minchin.

As much as I love Tim Minchin, I think he'd be among the first to admit that a little romaticism is a lovely thing. Hope you're enjoying Spain (:
